Odense Tweed Ride

Riders in the first Danish Tweed Ride - Odense april 2011

Odense Tweed Ride is inspired by the The London Tweed Run and a large number of Tweed Rides all over the world.

The purpose of the ride is to have a splendid day and raise funds for a charity.

The concept is very straightforward: We meet up on a saturday in Odense, all dressed in our finest tweed and ride around town at a decent speed. There’s a tea break and snacks on the way.

We recommend bringing your own food and drinks for the day – there’ll be a picnic spot during the ride.

The registration fee is 50 kr. to be paid in advance. The amount collected is donated in full to Red Barnet (the danish branch of Save the Children).

Now listen: We expect proper attire! Polish your bike, brush up on your biking skills and bring your finest tweeds. The more dashing and spectacular the better!

If you put an effort into your dress and bike, there’s a fair chance of winning one of our fabulous sponsored prizes.

Follow our news blog (mostly in danish) and like us on facebook. Also, we’re officially twinned with the Nottingham Classic Ride – please go ahead and like their facebook page too.

Kind regards,

Odense Tweed Ride

Odense Tweed Ride is put on wheels by a few locals volunteering for the good cause. You’re welcome to drop us a line here.

And by the way, here’s a short film to inspire you further:
